Things to think about when starting up.

This is a not a start up but some things to consider when starting your new business.

1. Get a Pre-Paid cell phone with unlimited minutes and voice mail
• (You don't want people having your personal phone number)
2. Get a PO box from the local post office so that crazy customer can't find your house in the middle of the night.
• (Keep your personal life personal)
3. Make sure you make time for yourself.
• Pick at least 1 day a week for yourself NO WORK that day.)

These are some simple pieces of info that I think any start up should consider before they do anything.

PROTECT YOURSELF!!!

Grass cutting Service $100-$300

I hate cutting my lawn and so do most people why not cut other peoples lawn and make some money doing it.  Really all you need are A gas powered lawn mower and a gas powered weed wackier.

Gas powered because people don't want you using there power and them paying extra for it.

Make your self some flyer and go stick them on peoples doors wait for the called and start cutting.

Deck Treatment Service Start Up $200-$300

Every year people build decks of of there homes and every year people who have decks neglect them.
Why not offer your services with a good weather seal coating on the deck for your client.
Start up for this is pretty inexpensive you charge the customer for the supplies up front and spend a day painting the deck off of there house.

Advertise out for deck sealing service at local hard ware stores and with contractors who build te decks.
After they build them you seal it for the customer the contractor does all the work finding the customer for you.

Internal PC Clean up Service Start up $100

This is such an easy start up its silly.

So people never think of whats in there desk top but you should.  With the fans sucking in Dust, dirt, animal hair, ect....
Inside a computer can be a mess.
All you need is a few cans of compressed air and 15 min.

The benefit to your client this will increase the life of the computer since once its clean air flows in the case better and keeps the inside cooler.

Chimney Cleaner Start up $100 -$200

Depending on were you live and if people are using there fire place this can be a great start up.
No one wants to clean a chimney.
So why don't you.
Make sure you advertise yourself out with the safety in a clean chimney.
Fear makes people think about things like a clean chimney.
Keeping it clean and free of suet will prevent the potential of a house fire.

Car Detail-er Start up $50-$100

Every one wants a clean car why not go to them.
What you need

• Portable Vacuum (Battery Powered)
• Garbage Bags
• Gloves
• Car interior Polish 
• Micro-Fiber Rag
• Paper towels

That's now finding clients.

Advertise in the local paper, local car magazines and at your local auto parts store.

Word of mouth is going to be your biggest form of advertising so make sure your telling your clients to let there friends know about your services.

POOP Resale Start up $500-$1000

Horse farms create a lot of poop what do they do with it this is were you start to make some money.
If you don't mind shoveling some poop.
You go to some farms and ask if they need someone to hale away the house poop then you charge a modest fee for you time and trouble
Re- Bag and mix it with some top soil and sell it as fertilizer to the local garden store easy way to drum up a great income.

Oven Cleaning Service Start up $50

No one wants to do it but it does have to be done so why not you.
Simple way to go about it is get some cleaning supplies and advertize yourself out.
Your money will come from your repeat customers. 
Offer a special 1 yr package for $120 and once a month clean some ones oven.
You should be able todo 4 to 5 a day.
And if your doing it 5 days a week that's a great income.

Fence Painting Service Start up $100-$200

Fences are expensive not only to put up or have put up.
They can also be very expensive to fix.  A god coat of treatment every year or even every other year can keep it looking good and stay together for years.

Most people fence in there yarn and forget about it.  This business requires you to let the customer understand the value of the service you provide.  Depending on the size of the fence will determine the price to paint it.

Your start up costs are

• Ladder 6' foot
• Brushes (not rollers unless your applying a color)
• advertising

That's it you create an estimint  and have your customer pay half upfront use that to get the treatment or paint.

Gutter Cleaning Service Start up $100-$300

People never want to clime a ladder and clean out there gutters so why not charge $50 - $100 to do it for them.
We all know gutters collect roof grit, leaves, bird nests, garbage(how im not sure but it gets there) along with other things.

All you need to start this business is a couple good ladders, garbage bags, and gloves.

Most of your cost is going to come from the ladders a good 8foot and a 25 footer.
advertise your services out and ask your customers for referrals.

GPS Instalation Start up $100

People buy GPS all the time why not be the guy that puts them in you need a basic understanding of how they are powered and how to run the power to it.  You can pick up an aux 12v power plug at almost any electronics retailer.  Install it under the dash and mount the GPS in a vent bracket use a good one and make it nice and clean you will be drilling into a customers dash in most cases.

great place to get clients is the place there buying the GPS ask them if you can put up a flyer or if they will offer the service to there customer for a cut of the profits.(definetly get it in writing.)

Dog Walking Service Start up $0-$50

Love dogs great need a good work out even better.
Some people love there animals but don't have time to take them for a good walk most of the time.
Here is were you can make the difference.
Advertise out at some local pet stores and vet offices that you walk dogs half hour walk twice a week for $35.
Get your self 5 or 6 customers and this is a great way for you to stay inshape and make some extra cash.
The start up is just printing out fliers and you might want to get a couple leashes and doggie treats.  

Weed Puller Start up $20

So all you need is a good pair of gloves and a little time.
Pulling weeds out of gardens is an easy quick way to earn some extra cash.

Pulling weeds is a time consuming job that people just don't want to do in there gardens so they can pay you to do it for them.

Charging any were from $10-$15 per hour this can be some serious income.

Scoop POOP Start up $50-$100

It may not be some thing you think of but cleaning up after dogs is a great way to bring in some extra income.

No one wants to clean up after there dog so why don't you do it for them.  You can charge any were from $10-$25 a shoot and if you do it weekly for some one it can be a steady income.

The cost in start up is garbage bags and some gloves.  (maybe a can to toss the wast in.

Great places to advertise are local vets offices, super market boards and the internet.

Toy Cleaning Services Start up $100

So you have to get yourself some Cleaning wipes and a bucket and soap.
Advertise as a toy sanitation service.

Go to peoples homes and clean some toys kids get dirty then play with toys you clean them. soak wipe and sanitize that's it.

To really bring in the cash go to the locale day care centers and offer your services daily after they close.
With all the children and germs floating around in the place its a great way for you to get yourself a steady income and keep kids from getting sick from the other children.
